- All admitted to literacy centres opened inside jails as per norms of Total Literacy Campaign.
- Environment building through Kala Jatha
- State Literacy Mission authority and District Literacy Society conduct and monitor the program along with jail authority.
- Target to make all literate by July 2008 and then run one centre for new entry

- Examination for class I to VIII conducted in all jails

- Textbooks distributed to all those appeared in exam.

- Nutrition and its monitoring (Growth Chart)
- Nutrition education to pregnant and Lactating mothers

- Smooth transition from play school to Residential Welfare School, if needed
- Monitoring jointly by ICDS department and Jail administration (through video-conferencing)
- Women Development Program
- Awareness program on Dowry and Witchcraft through Social Welfare deptt.
- Vocational training linked to production through Mahila Samakhya and NGOs

- MOU being signed with NGO for three years for regularity.
